## Salary/Compensation Statement

All employees are compensated through electronic direct deposit.

* Part-Time Benefits may be available for qualified employees.

Schedule may vary with hours increasing up to 40 hrs a week during peak periods, up to 1039 hours in a 12-month period.

## Required Education

Associates degree with dental professional experience.

## Required Experience

Two (2) years of office experience encompassing grant or project coordination, with marketing duties; experience maintaining fiscal and general office recording is required.


## Preferred Education

RHD – Registered Dental Hygienist

## Preferred Experience

Demonstrated knowledge of dental theory and related professional programs.
Experience in a dental office environment.

## Bilingual/Multicultural Statement

## Position Purpose

To provide grant project support to Health Professions in the coordination and implementation of grant activities and funding, tracking and reporting.

## Essential Functions

#### Essential Functions

* Provides administrative support for and coordinates with the grant director on a variety of specialized activities regarding the operation of grant funded projects.
* Writes/edits portions of grant reports, accreditation documents, and required grant reports.
* Uses fiscal principles provided by grant guidelines to monitor budget and grant activities. Maintain fiscal records to assist the grant director in monitoring fiscal issues and record keeping guidelines using grant fiscal management guides.
* Develops and maintains tracking systems for participant information and resources from grant partners.
* Uses appropriate databases to track grant data and compile data and statistics for reports.
* Provides assistance in developing and maintaining a website to disseminate project activities and results.
* Creates marketing and outreach plans.
* Schedules, coordinates and attends meetings for outreach activities.
* Advises the grant director and grant administrator on the progress and timelines of funded activities.
* Communicates with all members of the grant team regarding issues related to the implementation of the components of the grant.
* Problem solve and manage sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA standards; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the privacy needs of students.
* Other duties as assigned.

## Supervision Statement

Reports to and works under the general supervision of a department chair or other supervisor. Work is performed independently according to College and department policies, State and federal rules or regulations and a knowledge of budgeting procedures, personnel practices, information analysis and report preparation. Work is reviewed for the accuracy of internal and external reports by verbal feedback, periodic conferences and annual evaluations.

This position may coordinate and lead the work of Student Services Specialists, Office Support Specialists, student advisor, student assistants and volunteers. This position plans work, instructs in work methods and procedures, assigns and approves work, establishes work priorities and is available to answer questions or troubleshoot problems on a daily basis.

## Physical Demands/Working Environment

This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office working conditions that includes office noises and interruptions, such as printers, telephones, and visitors. This position requires that an employee be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day. Work may require transporting materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

## Knowledge Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge of funded grants and the governing regulations pertaining to the operation of their operation.
* Knowledge of effective methods and operational procedures for monitoring a variety of concurrent activities.
* Knowledge of spreadsheets.
* Skills in effective liaison techniques to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, administrators, other agency staff and the general public.
* Skill in verbal and written communication.
* Skill in leading and participation in a work team and problem solving.
* Skill in use of computer applications such as spreadsheets, work processing; Adobe Reader; web site maintenance and email.
* Skill in applying accounting or bookkeeping practices to monitor and track expenditures or a program/grant budget and to prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
* Skill in analyzing financial data and developing recommendations regarding expenditures and budget development.
* Ability to represent the College in a professional manner and be accurate in processing information.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Ability to conduct marketing and outreach activities.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
